This program will review the core concepts of constitutional homestead under Article X, Section 4 as it relates to administration and management of homestead property in trusts, estates and guardianships.

The program will also include a detailed discussion of the relevant Florida Statutes, Probate Rules and case law that expand and further define the concept and will alert fiduciaries to potential traps and complications associated with the benefits of constitutional homestead in Florida.

About Tae Kelley Bronner, Esq.

Tae Kelley Bronner is sole member of the law firm of Tae Kelley Bronner, P.L. in Tampa, Florida. She has practiced in the area of wills, trusts, and guardianship administration, and litigation involving wills, trusts, estates and guardianships for 25 years.

A native of Florida, she earned her undergraduate degree (B.A., 1991) from the University of Florida and her law degree (J.D. with honors, 1994) from Stetson University. Mrs. Bronner is a member of the Florida Bar, a member of the Executive Council for the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, and a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. She has previously served as chair of the Legislative Committee for the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and has been extensively involved reviewing, revising and writing the laws governing wills, trusts, inheritance, homestead, guardianship and probate of estates in Florida courts She has also previously served as Treasurer for the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar and chair of the CLE Seminar Coordination Committee, Leadership Academy Scholarship Committee, and Probate Law Committee. In 2008, she was tasked with creating and implementing the Section’s fellowship program to identify, attract, train and develop future leadership for the Section, which continues to this day as a model for other Sections within the Florida Bar. She continues to serve as a member of the Guardianship Committee, Probate Law Committee, Trust Law Committee and various ad hoc committees for the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section. In addition, she remains vice chair of the Budget Committee. She is selected and listed as a Super Lawyer by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine and is listed in the Best Lawyers in Florida publication. She has also been previously recognized as Legal Elite by Florida Trend Magazine, was selected by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine as Top 50: Women Florida Super Lawyers Top List in 2014 and 2015 and is consistently listed in the Top Attorneys in Florida by U.S. News & World Report and Super Lawyers.

In 2009, Ms. Bronner was awarded the Rising Star award by the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and in 2010 received the Annual Service Award. In 2019, she was awarded the Robert C. Scott Memorial Award, which is the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section’s highest award for service to the bar and its profession. In 2023, she was awarded the William S. Belcher Lifetime Professionalism Award, presented to recognize an individual’s lifetime contributions to the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, the Executive Council and Florida attorneys.
